Why this matters

The carrier builds their file the moment the claim opens. We build yours.

Most policyholders don't realize the insurance company is already documenting the loss on their own terms — their adjuster, their scope, their photos, their numbers. By the time the offer arrives, the carrier's file has been built for weeks. The policyholder's rarely has been built at all.

Resnix is a Texas-licensed public adjusting firm. We work for the property owner — independent documentation, policy review, scope review, and direct communication with the carrier. Calm, professional, and on the record.

Where most fire claims need help

Three moments where a fire claim quietly goes wrong.

Just starting

You have a fire claim and don't know where to begin.

The first 72 hours shape the entire claim. We help you put the right documentation on the record before the carrier's narrative sets in — policy review, scope of damage, contents inventory, and code-upgrade requirements.

Denied or underpaid

Your fire claim came back denied — or the number is too low.

Disputed, denied, or underpaid fire damage claims deserve a second look. We review your scope, policy, and documentation independently and identify what's missing — rooms, materials, smoke remediation, or fire department intervention damage.

Before you sign

You have a settlement offer and something feels off.

Sometimes the offer is missing rooms. Sometimes it's missing materials. Sometimes the scope simply doesn't match the damage. We review fire settlement offers independently before you accept — most people look at the number first. We look at the file.

What a fire claim covers

Fire claims rarely end at the burn line.

Heat damage, char, water from suppression, and smoke contamination compound the loss. A properly built fire claim file documents every layer — not just the visible damage.

  • Structural rebuild & code upgrades
  • Contents inventory & replacement
  • Smoke & soot remediation
  • Fire department intervention damage
  • Debris removal & site cleanup
  • Mold assessment & remediation
Fire damage documentation

Our standard

Scope built around your policy.

We document coverage, cause, and damages thoroughly enough to support a fair settlement — and to hold up if the carrier disputes it.

How we work

The same rigor on every fire claim.

Four steps. One outcome: a fire claim file the carrier has to answer to.

Step 01

Free claim review

Send us your policy and a few photos. We'll tell you straight whether hiring us will move the needle on your case.

Step 02

Onsite inspection

We bring licensed adjusters, engineers, and moisture techs to document every dollar of loss — drone roof scans included when needed.

Step 03

Scope & estimate

We build an Xactimate estimate backed by photo evidence and expert reports. That becomes the case we put on your insurer's desk.

Step 04

Negotiation & settlement

We negotiate directly with your carrier — you approve every move. No recovery, no fee. Guaranteed in writing before we start.

Common questions

Honest answers before the first call.

What does a public adjuster actually do for a fire claim?

A public adjuster represents the policyholder — not the insurance company — during the claim. We review your policy, document the full scope of damage (structure, contents, smoke, water-from-suppression, code upgrades), and negotiate the settlement with your carrier. The carrier already has people building their file. A public adjuster builds yours.

My insurer already sent an offer. Is it too late?

Often, no. We routinely review settlement offers that came in low or are missing scope — rooms, materials, contents, code upgrades, fire department intervention damage, or smoke-related contents loss. Supplemental claims are a core part of what we do. Call before you sign anything.

How much does this cost?

Nothing for the initial claim review. Engagement is contingency-only — disclosed in writing before any work begins, as required by Texas Insurance Code §4102. If we don't recover, you don't pay.

Do you serve my area?

Yes if you are in Fort Worth or within roughly 15 miles. Resnix is a Texas-licensed firm and we work fire damage claims throughout Fort Worth and the surrounding DFW area.

How fast should I file?

Notify your carrier within 24–72 hours of the loss. Beyond that, Texas policies impose strict notice and proof-of-loss windows that run from the date of damage. We confirm every deadline against your specific policy on the first call.
